Kodama Datalogger with Cereport Adaptor

Coming Soon
Overview

Kodama is a high channel-count, high sampling-rate chronic electrophysiology system supporting both tethered acquisition (real-time streaming to a computer) and untethered datalogging to onboard SD storage.

Built around the Neuropixels 1.0 384-channel Neural Recording Integrated Circuit (NRIC), Kodama enables simultaneous acquisition of 384 channels of dual-band neural data (AP and LFP). The headstage is designed for compatibility with the Blackrock CerePort implant platform.

Kodama incorporates the SpikeGadgets Janus ASIC, a custom low-power logic chip optimized for high-channel-count data logging. This architecture enables long-duration recordings while maintaining a compact, lightweight form factor.

Kodama is available in 128- and 256-channel configurations, with 500 mAh or 2 Ah battery options to balance size, weight, and recording duration.

Key Features
  • CerePort compatibility
Designed for use with Blackrock CerePort implants.

  • Two-way wireless control
Integrated radio link supports remote monitoring of headstage status (battery level, recording state), command control (start, stop, pause), and visual feedback (LED signaling).

  • Standby / pause mode
Low-power standby state reduces battery consumption during pauses and enables multiple recording epochs within a single session.

  • Integrated motion sensing
Onboard 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope provide synchronized motion and orientation data alongside neural recordings.
